Canton Entrepreneur Launch provides grants to entrepreneurs planning new, high growth business ventures in the City of Canton. Canton Entrepreneur Launch is designed to accelerate organic business growth by providing capital to early stage entrepreneurs.

What is the JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network?

Canton Entrepreneur Launch is a member of the JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network, a connected group of regional entrepreneurial support organizations ranging from investors to incubators. The Network gives high potential entrepreneurs a place to start their search for support, providing them with the right resources at the right time to grow their businesses.

Where do I need to locate my business?

In order to qualify for the Canton Entrepreneur Launch program you must locate your business inside the City of Canton.

Do I have to live in the City of Canton to be eligible?

No. There are no residency requirements for the Canton Entrepreneur Launch, but your business must operate in the City of Canton.

What types of businesses are eligible for funding?

Businesses that will be awarded funding from Canton Entrepreneur Launch must have the potential to attract additional growth capital, create substantial economic impact and develop job opportunities within the Canton community. Read our full eligibility requirements here.

How much funding is the program awarding?

Canton Entrepreneur Launch will award $100,000 in grant funding during the first cycle of the program. Specific award amounts will be determined based upon business need and the ability to meet certain project milestones.

What is the deadline to apply?

Applications for the first cycle of funding will be accepted between July 15, 2011 and September 30, 2011. Future funding rounds will be announced as they are determined.

When will funding be awarded?

Notification of funding awards for approved business ventures will be issued within 45 days of the conclusion of application submissions. At that time, a schedule for funding will be developed and grants will be issued in accordance with the schedule.
